Another day, another fight for my rights to work comp Yesterday I did get confirmation and further restrictions from surgeons medical assistant including no machinery while prescribed narcotics. I asked and she confirmed that explicitly includes motor vehicles.

All I had to do to go viral was have workplace injury and use it as a cautionary tale on Reddit. Posted on the woodworking subreddit to remind people to slow down and wait for the blade to stop before moving. That post went on to trend on r/all I can firmly say the injury wasn't worth going viral 🤣

The body of the reddit post says

"Just finished a cut on the miter saw at work, was bringing the blade up, and moved my hand too soon. Still have all my fingers luckily, but a deep bad cut on the meaty part between thumb and point your finger. Staying in the ER overnight, and have surgery in the morning to repair likely cut tendons. had been making the same cut all day, it was an hour to the end of my work day, and wasn't careful enough for 2 seconds. Slow down, and let the blade stop before you lift it back up. Trying not to beat myself up about it, cause the saw did a good enough job of that already, but I do feel pretty stupid. Also, check your medical supplies for your shop. Be safe everyone"

I'm out of surgery now. Sounds like everything went well. I feel SO much more comfortable. Also just had an extremely impressive cheeseburger from the hospital kitchen. They toasted the buns kinda good. All things considered, I'm doing well.
