Got to see Weird Al last night. Loads of fun. Got to hear some favorites and new stuff. Seats were good too because we had easy access out of the chairs, beer tent was right across and bathrooms were close by too. Perfection. Fair scone was a must. And two ciders. Best $30 spent LOL.

Apparently we had a small earthquake this morning. 3.9 hit somewhere south of me near Castle Rock. Some of Olympia felt it, but not the Lacey area.

Had a nice Sunday afternoon dinner with my parents. Bird child came with me. Everyone was anxious (bird and dad clash often), but it went very well. Their rottie Bella was so excited to see Bird (hasn't seen her in near a year) she peed herself and bulldozed Bird over and basically was her shadow.

My lightbulb moment for needing to lose weight came when I threw a pair of knickers from the top of the stairs towards the wash basket at the bottom of the stairs and they 'parachute floated' the final couple of feet.

Friends, anything you can spare if you have the means to help, is so appreciated. Brassy has his own health issues, but cares for many furkids to save them from the street in the Philippines where animal care isn't always available. Please help, as I do, when you can if you've a spare dollar or two

Half the fun of writing is creating characters & giving them backstories, quirks and personalities w/reasons behind these quirks and personalities and sometimes never including them into the stories themselves LOL My two MC's have 3-4 pg character reference sheets & only about 1/4 of it is in use.

While I am almost done with the current chapter WIP, I've been going back thru it to revise passages. I feel like the writing style took a dive after chapter 8 or so (i will officially fix it all when I go into edits/revisions). I assume this is due to the brief 2 month hiatus and other things.

There is currently heavy discourse on Twitter over pirating books. Authors speaking out against pirating their works are being dragged thru the coals by others who accuse them of being ableist or that the public's right to read free trumps the author's right to be paid for their work.

It's not about being offended by religious books.
The state using children as a captive congregation is offensive.
Teach religions as history, literature, and culture and all the horrors done in their names?
Fine.
Require one tradition's scripture as classroom authority? No.
That is not faith. That is forced conformity.
Fuck that.
