I gotta say. World of Warcraft Forever is excellent, can't wait for it, and I'm currently obsessing over the beta so much idk how I'm going to handle launch. But seeing the way people post about it on Twitter makes me wish the whole Classic thing got shut down years ago, lol.

Honestly, the fact that that post by a Blizzard dev over on twitter is still up and hasn't had any response to it by other devs says a lot about how they plan to moderate and manage the Forever community. Does not inspire confidence.

This is such a strange thing to say when at the time the banished Highborne landed on the Eastern Kingdoms, the Amani trolls literally controlled the entire northern half of the continent. But, enough lore has changed in Midnight that maybe they'll touch on that too.

Ignoring how awful the story and world building is in World of Warcraft at the moment, the game is in a weird spot. It's stagnate. The patches aren't bad, but they're formulaic and predictable. Gearing is getting boring and stale, just because it hasn't changed at all.

Last year, miHoYo copied my puzzle game Ouros in Zenless Zone Zero. Because they are a recognized, billion-dollar studio and my game isn't well known, some people are now assuming that their version is the original, and mine is the clone. I hope this video clears that up.

Listening to an interview with Jeff Kaplan about how WoW succeeded as well as it did because of the work early Blizzard did in fleshing out the setting with Warcraft 1, 2, and especially Warcraft 3. This is what crashing out over WoW's current trajectory feels like lol

Treating conflict, factions, and War in Warcraft as something to solve and move on from is so frustrating. These things are the game's DNA. They're why we have the world you claim to love so much. They just have a fundamental misunderstanding of what the franchise is.

I just have so much trouble believing that this is executive meddling. The Alliance and the Horde are the most iconic aspects of the franchise. People chant for their faction. Half of their merch is faction based. Why would executives want to diminish that?? It has to be the team's decision, right?

Watching footage of the Alpha now. I did not expect them to go as hard on the complexity and cognitive load creep as they did. The changes look amazing so far. Hopefully they can find some agreement with some classes that feel they've lost too much (without giving up the vision) #warcraft
