We often get asked how you know when fruit is ready to be picked, and that's a really good question! One great tip, as shown in this poster by our talented Glasgow project manager Fergus, is to cup your hand under the fruit & give it a gentle twist. If it comes off easily, then it's perfect 🍏

We’ll be having a 🐝🦋🐞🐛🐜🪰🪲🪳🦟🦗🕷️ focus at our community garden session at St John's URC (EN5 1RH) this Saturday morning, between 10 and 12. Kids can do a wildlife themed scavenger hunt and we'll be using iNaturalist and the FIT count apps in case you want to set them up on your mobile in advance 📱

I was a bit sad today when I needed to have the small boats chat with my mum. The rhetoric of excessive immigration has reached her, a generally open-minded women in her 70s living in a majority white town in the Midlands. Can anyone recommend further resources to help me with future chats?

Well that's a wrap for 2025! A few weeks ago we had a terrific time decorating the garden, having a quick tidy up and planting some bulbs before leaving the whole space (and us) to have a breather for a few months. Here's to more garden fun in 2026, but first it's time to rest 😊
