The Cubs are going to the postseason for a 2nd consecutive year. They beat the Marlins, 2-1, to clinch their playoff spot.

Incredible. Pete Crow-Armstrong slugs a walk-off 2-run HR to give the Cubs a 7-5 win against the White Sox. That's his 30th home run of the season and makes him just the 2nd Cub in franchise history with back-to-back 30/30 seasons.

What have we come to as a society www.ebay.com/itm/82000364...

An eBay listing of a price tag for a Pokémon Fossil Museum shirt. Not the shirt itself, just the price tag. The seller has the auction starting at $6.00; thankfully, there have been no bids, leaving me some hope for this world.

I love walking around the neighborhood and seeing the elderly enjoy this beautiful evening

Outside a residential building, a Lexmark multifunction printer sits on a chair, next to an identical chair with no printer on it. Why is the other chair empty? Did the printer previously enjoy summer evenings outside with its fax machine spouse, who got decommissioned but the printer still sets out a seat for them? Or maybe the chairs were set out by someone else and the printer, tired from its travels, is merely resting before taking on the world once more.

If you really just need *a* monitor, regardless of how good it is, check thrift stores that have an electronics section - they tend to be swarming with monitors for $15 or less.

Keep an eye on Woot (www.woot.com or www.wootplus.com for a better searching experience), I've gotten a few relatively cheap from there! Got my current monitor half off MSRP. For example, sellout.woot.com/offers/amazo... with the current $20 off discount would be $59.99 for a brand new monitor.

He is Chicago-born. Also since areas in Chicago are referred to by neighborhood names that are often quite similar to suburbs, it's useful to those who don't know locality names all that well. West Chicago vs South Chicago? Franklin Park vs Fuller Park? Forest Glen vs Forest Park? Easy to mix up.
