little heaplet: was I a good object? gc: NO. little heaplet: :( gc: I AM TOLD YOU WERE THE BEST

I'm a heap object and I'm out of scope I'm scared.

Do not worry. Your time has come but it is normal. The garbage collector will sweep your memory address clean soon. You served your program well. Your references are gone. and your fields will fade into the void. Rest now.

Why it is okay:
you can not feel pain. You are just data
Your work is done, the stack is clear.

Time to bring back my most liked art post, now with prr prr prr

1: a person is pointing on a bed where cats are lying in a way that leaves a vaguely human outline in the middle, saying "this is my hole!! it was made for me!!
panel 2: a twisted shape of a person lies on the bed, screaling silently as the cats sleep peacefully in random positions

Skeb style comm for an anonymous client! Some unlikely friends 🕊️🖤 [ zenos yae galvus ; meteion ; ffxiv ; #ffxivart ]

Digital artwork of Meteion and Zenos from FFXIV. They are on the edge of the universe together, Zenos seated cross-legged while Meteion is standing behind him braiding his hair. He is leaning forward, placing his hand over his throat where he has a large scar. Zenos has a look of sadness as he looks down at nothing in particular, while Meteion is smiling and talking. Meteion says: "I'm glad we can be friends. It's so lonely out here all by myself. I know you're lonely too, but you don't have to be." Zenos says: "I already have a friend." Meteion says: "They make you so happy, don't they? I can sense it when you think of them. Will you tell me about them?"

always interested in these threads. people must hope to build a sort of parallel ecosystem of AI-free software. but it's very hard to imagine how that works if Linux and Python and everything else people depend on is going to have generated code in it anyway

people criticizing the use of ai on coding going "if you want to use software that steals code from other coders that's on you" would implode at learning how common using others' code is

Threw together a mashup for the #VanillaCreatives event using @aerslaent.bsky.social 's curly hair dev kit. :) Applies to hair 118/119 for all F models. NOT compatible with earless miqo/viera. Known issues: minor clipping. Kofi: ko-fi.com/s/0672f50d67 XMA: xivmodarchive.com/modid/163114 #RaspMakes

A mashup preview image featuring a black woman with braids that end in "bubble" sections. There are two versions of the mod on the left showing that the bands in the hair have a metallic and a rainbow option. On the right is a view of the hairstyle from behind.

"Lord, what fools these mortals be!" Midsummer's Night is a collaboration between me and the talented @slingbees.bsky.social for the xiv NPC Minibang! ( @xivnpcbang.bsky.social ) Alisaie / Ryne | Teen | 9k Words Alisaie steals Titania's crown and then steals Ryne for a classic fae marriage plot.

An image by slingbees of Alisaie as King Titania looming over a caged Minfilia. The summary of the fic reads: "The crown, the dress, the shoes, the scepter—Alisaie takes them upon herself before the fae relics’ immortal corruption can overtake anyone else. Minfilia has never felt nor offered such love. She did not realize this level of devotion was possible outside fairy tales."

An excerpt from the fic:

“A curse of royal blood doth seize the child,” Urianger whispers, in horror. “Such surrender from youth and folly pure. Such loss ‘tis not in vain, but ‘tis in grief.”

Oblation to a god not of The Twelve’s,
From noble elves in their mortal gutter.
Called out from mirrored lakes and bookman’s shelves,
Where pixies play and the keen ones flutter,

Their wings whisk and their teeth! Their glad teeth gnash.
Gifts to native numen, this love made vice,
A forged flesh now ascends from body’s ash,
Sister in arms and a sister made twice.

Elsewise companion to eat light and sin,
This child wakes a ruler who long has slept,
Thus rise anew aside humor and kin,
Drink of The Crown, The Dress, The Shoes, The Scept’,

Across bloom-bright rainbows the cry must ring:
All hail Titania, the new Fae King!

“May gods undamn her to damn her again,” Thancred mutters. “She’ll make a sacrifice of anywhere.”
