Our neighbors are all 100% confused about whether regular trash pickup happens today (it does not). DPW's website doesn't put that information front-and-center (where you would expect). You have to search or dig 3 levels deep through menus for it. The page with the information is badly formatted.

As of this afternoon, DC Board of Elections has come back to Trinidad & made it a little more difficult to tip over this ballot box. (If you're familiar with this fence, though, you know 1/2 of the rest of it has either collapsed completely or is loose & ready to be knocked over w/ a stiff breeze.)

It was installed just north of the intersection as a divider between the r-t only lane (which also has a sharrow/serves as PBL continuation) & the left lane (which is both thru traffic & left-turn lane). Yeah, it got dislodged, DDOT never came to fix, & cones got placed to alert inattentive drivers.

Having your kiddo sleep with you eliminates any chance of sleeping through the night without at least a half-dozen interruptions. 🤪
