Heathen looks awesome!! I’ve been saying for years that Diablo 1 needs to be remade into a first-person, survival-horror RPG. Keeping my eye on this one!

Can someone that doesn’t already own The Nathan Drake Collection please tell me what’s going on with it on the PlayStation Store? I’m just really curious at this point. I own it so I still have the option to play it, but it looks like it might not be available anymore.

Hey Mat why are fewer younger and less affluent households investing in consoles or buying $80 video games right now? Idk man call Sherlock Holmes cuz it's a real gd mystery.

100%! I honestly think that due to everything happening with AI driving up costs that we’ll see these companies start pushing more subscription and cloud streaming services on us. I’ll absolutely hate it but I think that’s where this road leads 😔

If this is in any way representative of the final product (and runs decently at launch) then I think this generation has the juice to hang around for a few more years.

Don’t think it’s a problem that’s limited to one platform

Bluesky made me forget about the console wars. It also reminded me that the real gamers are just normal people that love to game, share that passion, and support each other 🫡

Thank you Milton Friedman and Jack Welch for creating this “modern” capitalism where the only thing that matters is the stock price.

I predict that this will lead to a streaming only future of gaming

100%! Yeah, it’s like I know where everything starts and ends but I’ve forgotten a lot of the things in between. Just did the “Tower of Mice” quest and omg it was awesome!

Haven’t played The Witcher 3 since the PS4 release, and I platinumed it then. This remaster is absolutely stunning and has just reminded me of how this is one of the greatest games to ever exist. I’m going to platinum it again. #TheWitcher3 #ps5pro #TheWitcher3Remastered

The correct title would be like "Towards a game engine for the AI Generation" basically noting that it's an engine built in the age of AI and they're using it to help track down bugs, improve testing and work with its codebase. I don't love that stuff but it's a world away from GenAI.

Totally! And I was more so just wondering if MORE people were revolted at first. I think my initial thought was that this is great for Zelda but might be a bit frightening if it was Mario 😂 We’ll see if they can pull that off!

Also, great parallels and context with the development from the original in your piece and why what they’re doing now makes sense.

AI has stolen so much art in the early days, especially from Pixar that anything remotely resembling that style can automatically get labeled as AI. Personally I think the Pixar look hung on too long and we’re going to see some growing pains as the new animated style is eventually born…

Hey 👋 I read it and understand where you’re coming from. I just think Nintendo has a hard creative line to walk as they develop for more powerful hardware and keep their characters looking stylized and not overly real and uncanny. Also, as UE5 seems to be everywhere how to devs set themselves apart.
