I always design my company’s booth at our biggest expo. This year I hid a photo of me and Mari in it since it was meant to look like a living room. My boss sent me a video of how it looks in person and I totally see it hidden. Is this what it feels like to be an imagineer hiding your name in rides?

Saw some people say this spits on the graves of Claude Coats and such. But IDK, Magic Shots/Photopass operates on a whole other plane from the Imagineering legends. It’s not a fixture in the park. But it’s still weird and gimmicky. Feels more like the kind of thing you’d see as a filter in the app

Fascinating early master plan for Universal Studios Florida I've never seen before that was more a direct copy of Hollywood, just with all of the pieces rearranged. Full backlot and tram tour with many of the mainstays like Colonial Street, Parting of the Red Sea, and even Battle of Galactica.

Insane how fast this has come together. WDI is really speeding up their work processes. The digital to physical process has come so far and it’s letting them figure out how to do all this off site and slotting it together quickly. I’m impressed by the logistics and economics of how they build now.

2 photos of a tarp covered Mazda that seems ready for pull testing at Fast & Furious Hollywood Drift. Seems like the plan is to pull in reverse direction. This car travelling perhaps first by motors through the station, back to the brake run. Where the pull begins.

I really love this version of Main Street. It feels so whimsical- exactly the right tone for a magic kingdom park. It goes back to the original Paris Main Street concepts of it being in the 20s, but injects a new life into it with the characters. Modernizing it while still fitting with the others

Now Strongwater over at Saphire is where you go for some tiki-esque drinks. The Cursed Jungle Bird is smooth, aperol forward. The Pumpkin Plunderer is a suprise hit- the coconut and pumpkin play perfectly together.
