The popularity of podcasts cannot be conhattered a surprised. Being a (mostly) free source of
entertainment and information, unique insi age auld even enlightening discourse, it isn't a shock that many
have chosen the medium as a means of expressing themselves.
And while content is important when putting out a podcast, the technical aspect of it is very crucial
After all, if your listener cannot hear what you say, it's unlikely they'l keep tuning in..
So, with that in mind, here are a few things to remember when recording your podcast.
Use The Proper Equipment
As a purely auditory medium, the audio
quality of your podcast is extremely
important. While most laptops come built
in with a mic, this is not the advisable
thing to record your voice on for content
that you intend to broadcast. Be sure to
look for the right equipment that fits your
needs and budget.
Warm Up
The majority of podcasts last for at least
an hour, so it would be ideal to warm up.
Do a few tongue twisters and other oral
and vocal exercises to stretch those
muscles for an extended recording.
This way, you open your podcast with
the appropriate amount of energy and
readiness.
Find The Right Space
For the best quality, try to find a small,
quiet room you can do your recording in.
Be sure to be in a place wherein your pets
or housemates can't accidentally walk in
and disrupt your recording.
If soundproofing is not a viable option,
you can muffle external noises with
cushions and other similar available
materials.
Proper Mic Use
Be sure to employ the right microphone
techniques. Remember that the mic should
be at the same height as your mouth. Sit a
few inches away from the mic and use a
pop filter for the best quality possible. Keep
distance in mind, as the closer you are to
the microphone, the louder you'll sound.
Once you find the right distance for the
desired volume, you're ready to record.
Just follow these tips and your podcast would definitely have that distinct professional sound
that makes all podcasts great. After that, it's all up to you.

I don't understand the ambient music control+widget on iOS. Like I thought it triggered a playlist on Apple Music, but it plays on its own app that isn't an app? Like Ambient only shows up when you tap in Now Playing and then goes away when you exit the pseudo-app This setup makes no damn sense

Other top concerns identified in this year’s survey were the perceived unsuitability of EVs for long-distance travel (57%), a lack of convenient public charging stations (56%), and fear of running out of charge while driving (55%). Thirty-one percent of those undecided or unlikely to buy an EV have safety concerns, 27 percent reported challenges installing charging stations at their residences, and 12% cited the potential reduction or elimination of tax credits and rebates.

The most disappointing thing about The Friendly on 30th is they allow their motorcycle club clientele block the bike lane like this. Now I know their head chef Rob is a bicyclist. He should be against this. They could park their motorcycles in a way that doesn’t obstruct like this.

This morning, a group of individuals arrived at my office demanding to meet with me and staged a sit-in. What transpired later went beyond
peaceful protest. These individuals chose to raid the front desk to my office, bang on the doors in ways that intended to force entry, and then barricaded the doors, creating a public safety hazard.

That conduct is unacceptable - full stop. My staff - including my deputy chief of staff - met with this group just last week. My staff listened directly to their concerns about ICE activity and the role of local law enforcement, and those concerns were shared with me.

I have been unequivocal and public about where I stand on their issue. In my State of the City address last week, and through the executive order I signed in July, I made it clear that the San Diego Police Department does not participate in federal immigration enforcement. That policy is in writing, it is enforced, and it is exactly what these protestors are asking for. No matter how strongly someone feels, obstructing the public's business and intimidating City employees is not how change is made. I will not be coerced, and I will not tolerate behavior that puts hardworking City staff or the public at risk. I understand the fear and anxiety many people are feeling right now. I share those concerns. That is precisely why I have taken action - and why San Diego's policies are clear and lawful. We will always protect the right to peaceful protest. But we must also protect City employees, public facilities, and the ability of residents to access essential services without fear and intimidation.

Oh wow, didn't realize how many substantial YIMBY bills were passed this year. #SB79 stole the show for sure, but the other stuff will have their positive impacts as well.

• We exempted infill housing from CEQA by passing AB 130.
• We legalized apartments near major transit stops by passing SB 79.
• We limited the abuse of historic preservation measures as a tool to block more homes with AB 1061.
• We made it even easier to build an ADU with AB 1154 and this year's SB 9.
• We reformed and streamlined permitting with AB 253 and AB 1308.

After getting fed up with aphids, caterpillars, and lack of sunlight, I decided to grow basil indoors with a hydroponic system. 60 days later and holy moly do I have a ridiculous amount to pick from.
