New piece with @tderyugina.bsky.social and @ilonasolohub.bsky.social The main message is: Europe in 2025 is #Ukraine in 2014. Not investing in defense, thinking the war is local, letting RUS information space, believing that someone else will protect, trying to make a deal with Putin Big mistakes

Zelenskyy announced shutting down of Russian airports. I very much hope that Ukrainian army has the means to do that. If Ukrainians don't have civilian airlines, why should Russians have them?

One of my friends writes from Kyiv: there are explosions when I sleep, when I go to work, when I work, and then when I try to sleep again. After 72 hours it feels practically normal. Russia is terrorizing Kyiv and region for three days in a row.

I see in Western media some fuss about Russia banning the "liberal" Yabloko party. To be sure, Yabloko, as well as other so-called "liberals", have been ruled from Kremlin for the last 20+ years. The ban means only that Kremlin no longer needs this fig leaf.

The crisis in Ceuta was very likely caused by Russia. They used the same method when migrants attacked Poland from Belarus in 2021. In 2014-2015, Russia bombed Syria causing the largest migration crisis in Europe, the consequences of which are felt even today.

Current US administration does what Putin wants it to do: it stopped support for Ukraine, tries to destroy ICC (that labeled Putin war criminal), funds EU ultra-right that would reduce support for Ukraine. Hope being Russia's minions is great enough for MAGA.

The unbreakable stupidity of Western journalists who keep providing platforms to Russian oligarchs (as if those are unrelated to Kremlin) and convincing their readers that break-up of Russia is something bad (as if it's not inevitable) is just insane.

Ukrainian Insurgent Army (UPA) fought for creation of the Ukrainian independent state against both USSR and Nazi Germany. It fought from 1943 until 1956. Afterwards, UPA warriors rebelled in GULAG and started its destruction. Ukraine does not need anyone's permission to commemorate its heroes.

Everyone is amazed at the development of drone industry in Ukraine. Ukrainian firms are ready to share the experience and technologies, but Ukraine needs more "conventional" weapons such as missiles. Our op-ed with @ygorodnichenko.bsky.social www1.project-syndicate.org/commentary/h...

I hope that NATO summit at least produces more Patriot and SAMP-T missiles for Ukraine. This night, none of the 29 ballistic missiles was intercepted. Unfortunately, massive Russian attacks on Kyiv no longer make it to the news.

I expected that Russia would test NATO by attacking one of the Baltic states. Now there are more and more signals that it would try to attack Poland. This is because its information attack on Poland (raising anti-Ukrainian sentiment) was successful: Poland forgot who its TRUE enemy is.

The Telegraph writes that Russia plans to attack Poland or to test NATO in some other way. This is what we have been talking about since 2022: all attempts to negotiate with the aggressor will lead only to escalation. What would have happened if Ukraine capitulated: voxukraine.org/en/from-lisb...

Muscovites are very surprised to see some unknown drones in their city. They of course did not care that their army killed hundreds of thousands of Ukrainians and they sincerely wonder "why?" If you though that you should explain something to them - you are wrong. You should donate to Ukraine.

Many things are unclear about the war with Iran. One thing is clear: Russia will always betray even its allies. Agreements with those it considers enemies (e.g. the collective West) will be breached even before they are signed.
