Voor de Tweede Wereldoorlog gebeurde hetzelfde met joodse vluchtelingen, waardoor ze door de Duitse bezetter kinderlijk eenvoudig te vinden waren. Met een halve Tweede Kamer die om remigratie schreeuwt, is dat voor de huidige generatie vluchtelingen geen gerustellende gedachte.
