Vicia cracca (🇳🇱 Vogelwikke) is still flowering. It seriously won't stoppp. Indigenous to the Netherlands and a massive favorite of many types of bees. Helps that it's also very beautiful and flowers abundantly, so I recommend more people sow this climbing beauty.

A photo of Vicia cracca, it is a climbing Lathyrus species with clusters of purple flowers that are loved by bees.

It's seed season! It's a bit too wet to harvest seeds, but I couldn't help myself. From left to right: Vicia cracca, Dill, Agrostemma githago, Lathyrus odoratus, Green beans. #gardening #seeds #autumn

Tiny snail and friends cleaning up the dead stalks of a Parsley plant. #nature #invert #snail #autumn

Many beige coloured dead stalks, some with wet clustered seeds at the end. There is a similar coloured tiny snail on one of the stalks. It's shell is warm brown and its eye stalks are dark grey.

It's so warm for October that some seeds are sprouting. Wrong season, sweeties. 😅

Back in the hospital 🥴 back to colouring to take my mind off things. #tradart #drawing #landscapeart #pencils

A sketchbook on a wooden table. The sketch depicts a landscape with agricultural meadows on the left, two tracks in a grassy area in the middle, and woodland on the right. The dominant colour is green in many different shades. The sketch is not yet finished. At the top there is the outline of a big tree canopy.

Feels so good to finally feel good enough again to just draw. Even with the limited materials I have with me, putting pencil to paper gives me so much peace.

A colour pencil drawing of a rural landscape. In the middle there is a double path carved out of tall grass. To the left are short grass meadows and to the right and top is a light green sketch of shrubs and trees that still need to be coloured in.

Out of the box 3

Our ladies are also doing well. After the first generation of workers was born, the nest expanded rapidly for a while and now it's a decent size (still smaller than my fist). They're behaving very politely. I can walk in and out of my shed with no issues. #wasps 🐝

So after my koolrabi raised 20+ butterflies and helped pollinators, it is now in seed and has helped raise this beautiful but shy Cabbage bug (Eurydema oleracea, 🇳🇱 Koolschildwants). I much prefer having this vegetable as a plant in my garden than on my plate 😆 it is serving so many species.
