Incredible. The 11th Circuit, in a 3-0 opinion (two Obama appointees and one Trump 1.0 appointee), agrees that Trump and his lawyers have failed to rebut the judge's finding that the entire IRS settlement was collusive, highlighting that no other explanation for their conduct was even offered.
IV
The appellants mount two main attacks on the district
court’s speech-related sanction. First, they argue that the court
lacked a sufficient basis to find that the lawsuit and the settlement
were collusive and that Messrs. Brito and Epstein acted in bad faith.
Second, they contend that the sanction is a broad and impermissible gag order which constitutes a prior restraint and violates the
First Amendment. We conclude that the appellants have not made
a strong showing that they will succeed on either of these grounds. The appellants did not submit or offer any evidence to explain their litigation conduct or demonstrate that the lawsuit and the settlement were not collusive. Given the record before us, the
appellants have not made a strong showing that the district court
committed clear error in its collusion and bad faith findings

Stupid bot falsely says:

There are no airports anywhere in the world using multiple ASOS machines. Every word the AI bot said was a lie, not a "mistake". It crosses a line when it cooks up a wealth of detail to prove its claims. It's bad luck to prove things that cannot possibly be true.
At larger or structurally complex airports, two or more ASOS (Automated Surface Observing System) units can be installed to monitor different areas.

When an airport has multiple units, they are assigned specific roles to prevent radio interference and clarify which part of the airfield the data represents:

1. Primary vs. Supplementary Units

The Primary ASOS: This unit acts as the official weather station for the airport. It generates the official hourly METAR reports and SPECI (special) updates used by the National Weather Service, airlines, and flight planners.

Supplementary Units: Any additional ASOS units are placed near other major runways or touchdown zones. They are used primarily for local, real-time situational awareness rather than official global reporting.

2. Dissemination of Data To keep communication frequencies clear, multiple units do not broadcast over the same radio channel at the same time:

Towered Airports: If the airport uses an ATIS (Automatic Terminal Information Service) broadcast, air traffic controllers or the automated ATIS system will pull data from the primary ASOS. If weather conditions vary significantly across the airfield (e.g., lower visibility at one end of a runway), the controllers will verbally append the supplementary ASOS data to the broadcast.

Discrete Frequencies: If multiple automated weather systems are broadcast directly to pilots over the radio, they will use different VHF frequencies. Each will be clearly labeled in the FAA Chart Supplement so pilots know exactly which sensor location they are listening to.

Specific high-profile examples include:

1. Denver International Airport (KDEN)

2. Chicago O'Hare International Airport (KORD)

3. Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport (KDFW)
