iiinova — where your digital self keeps evolving

Hah just ordered this today, seems rad 😊

So now I’m going to basically try to see hoopow muuuuch tokens I can make it use every day untill it either stops responding or they ban me. Let’s see what their threshold is for something that’s “free because you surely need it” 🤷‍♂️

I have auto app updates turned off so I do that manually for apps that I use/allow. If the update says “Performance improvements” for the 10x time and is still as slow as f* 🙅‍♂️ Today I accidentally updated Viber… and now there’s ChatGPT chat in there that I can’t disable, hide or ban 🤬 F* hell

I miss Posts/Read. Left Twitter because it didn’t feel like there was much connection to people, seemed to “wide”. Posts was just that, smaller and tighter and felt like a community, Bsky doesn’t even with different feeds. Still sad they didn’t pass it on, I’m sure some of us would gladly drive it 😢

Yup, all the time 🤷‍♂️

Haha 100%, also isn’t #2 basically #1? I think we’re just getting old and grumpy at this point, so everything feels stupid 😅

000

Yeah, because they couldn’t shove crypto into EVERYTHING because it made things sound like a scam. With AI they just justify it as a “tool” on top of their existing technology so it sounds more legit I guess?

I get recommended Stickerapp all the time by friends, but haven’t used them before. The quality is top notch though from the stickers I got. For my needs I have a local shop here that I use since the I know the owner and he’s really nice so I like to support him 😊

Damn, misunderstood haha 😄 I thought you wrote that you have the option to set a timer/delay to websites you want to limit your exposure to, as a barrier/annoyance 😊

Great feature, thanks, I’ve built something like this for myself as an browser extension and it works wonders for places I want to visit less 👌

Riding bikes is 10X more important than electric cars for reaching net-zero cities. And that’s just the climate emissions. Doesn’t include the massive public & personal cost difference, the air & noise pollution difference, the massive space difference, etc, etc…Via @theconversation.bsky.social

Active travel can help tackle the climate crisis earlier than electric vehicles – even if you swap the car for a bike for just one trip a day.

Instagram says it will ban some of the creepiest kinds of content filmed with Meta glasses, like harassment. I wrote about how Meta gets to have it both ways: saying it will police bad behavior while creating the conditions for it to exist in the first place. www.theverge.com/report/97090...

Meta just created a moderation nightmare for its smart glasses

A new ban on some Meta glasses content is more complicated than it seems

Yeah I agree tbh. I do still see it as one of the channels where if you get it right and score high (by whatever algorithm they have behind) it can bring in a quite a number of eyeballs on the launch day. Thanks for the kind words and yeah, need to make a push but marketing is really not my thing 😅

Well...that was a flop 😅 It seems like if you don't have AI in the name or description you don't get nearly as much exposure on there. Then again, it might be how I wrote things, so I'll try to learn from this for the next time I put something out 🚀

100

how cool is this! Congrats! 😊

000

Also, it's been a while since I've done a Product Hunt launch, so no idea how this works anymore. At the time of me posting Hey Meta or Dockey there were far less products launched every day, so you could get to the front page more easily, now it feels like you need to hack something 🤷‍♂️

100

Anyway. It's live, it's real, and I have no idea how today goes. If you've ever sent a client six links and hoped for the best, I'd love to know what you think.

000

And when you publish an update, the client's Slack channel gets told exactly what changed. Fix a typo and it stays quiet. Small thing but it's satisfying and I don't have to do this manually.

100

Each client gets one page. On your own or their domain, or one of Modulat subdomains. Prototypes, files, notes, videos, all in one place. No logins for them, they just open a link and have access to everything. The bit I'm quietly proud of: it's built into Figma, so you never leave the canvas.

100

Every time I finished a project I'd send the client six links in an email. A Figma prototype, a Drive folder, a Loom, two attachments buried in a reply-all thread. Then a week later: "which one is the newest?" So I'm scratched my own itch and built the thing I wanted instead.

Modulat · Client portals for creative teams

Okay. It's out. I've been building Modulat nights and weekends for 6 months, and it went live on Product Hunt about an hour ago. Strange feeling, just pushing it and seeing what happens. It fixes one small thing that has annoyed me for years. modulat.co

Turn the prototypes, files, notes, and videos you send clients into one branded page on your own domain. Password-protected, trackable, and impossible to lose.

I'm glad we've replaced actual humans with AI support because the information they provide is always the one you need and spot on. /s Also @figma.com if anyone is reading this, please contact me...this is getting out of hand.

This feels like a personal attack 🤣 But yeah…true 😢

Added a books section to my personal site, seemed like a nice addition 📚 Blog is next, eg. already there, but I need to start writing 😅

100

Will share more details of mine, just need to get through the approval process so I can test everything 😊

000

Yeah I noticed that too. For the app I got an email, but nothing for the plugin, you have to go and check yourself, weird.

000

But yeah, should have written plugin, as that will be the thing people (hopefully) use 😄

100

Both actually, I needed to publish an app so I can authenticate Figma users with their accounts in the Plugin, so waiting for a confirmation of both 😊

First Figma app in review 🤞
