I sat down with #veterans here in San Jacinto. The biggest issues: homelessness and VA appointment wait times stretching months, made worse by unreliable telehealth. They served this country. They deserve better than waiting months for care.

San Jacinto needs more than a webpage linking to county services. We need real housing options and resources here in our own city, in partnership with nonprofits and Riverside County. People need a number to call and a real person to talk to, not just links.

San Jacinto needs a landlord registry with real enforcement, not just a list nobody checks. Tying business licenses to compliance means owners who profit from this community can't ignore what happens on their property. Renters deserve protection, and a city that is on their side.

Today I paid for a baby's special needs formula because @USDA_FNS (WIC) wouldn't cover it. Dad didn't speak enough english to get past red tape, & he apologized like he was the problem. A child's food should never depend on paperwork or language. The system is failing families.

City council rules (at least here in San Jacinto) prevent me from officially filling my paperwork and turning it with the city until July. So as you can see, I'm getting a head start on my opponent. My website is still being worked on, that's what I mean by starting early. I'm a real person.

Get this @MattMahanSJ slid in my DMs calling me a liar. Then literally admitted some of his donors invest in @peterthiel companies. Brian Singerman, one of Thiel's earliest Founders Fund guys, dropped $250K on his campaign. So, Thiel didn't WRITE the check. He SENT his people to.

9/ A resident who lives near Mike Johnson contacted me as a whistleblower & asked to remain anonymous. She worked for the day care at the church. Said she noticed money from daycare's PPP loan was being taken by church & believed they were stealing it from child care program.

8/ Johnson lived rent free in a 3.7 mil dollar Wash home owned by political donor. Then moved into a home owned by Rep. Darrell Issa, & his campaign paid $2500 a month to Issa's company for rent. A watchdog group filed FEC complaint because campaign $ isn't supposed to pay rent

7/ The point is, the pattern across Mike Johnson's network. Young Life. Exodus International. Grant Storms. Alan Chambers. Steve Berger. Every institution Mike Johnson worked with/built, his career through, has been credibly connected to abuse or exploitation of minors.

6/ The teen was fourteen, not eighteen, when Johnson took custody. Mike Johnson took Michael Tirrel James in when he was homeless. There was no formal adoption. The youth ministry program where Johnson first met him has faced hundreds of credible allegations of sexual abuse.

5/ Mike Johnson also publicly supported Reverend Grant Storms, who was convicted after being caught masturbating near a children's playground. Johnson has repeatedly told the public he adopted a teen from Young Life Ministry. Public records show he never legally adopted him.

4/Johnson also spent 8 yrs on the board of the Southern Baptist Convention Ethics & Religious Liberty Commission during the same period the SBC was facing widespread, documented sexual abuse & cover ups. Being on the board means he had a role/vote in how institution responded.

3/Before Congress, Johnson worked w Exodus International, a group behind pray the gay away programs aimed at LGBTQ teens. Exodus wasn't a controversy. It was systemic sexual abuse. This week, former pres. of Exodus was arrested in a sting for trying to meet a 14 yr old boy.

2/ he does not have to report it. His wife Kelly runs a nonprofit where most of the money goes to her salary (prob all of the money in general) funded by anonymous donors. An ethics complaint said Johnson left about thirteen thousand dollars of her income off his own forms.
