I wanted to go in our town, but there were reports of ICE sightings and we’re non-white. My spouse said they didn’t want me to get disappeared in some ICE detention even though I was born the the US (since that doesn’t seem to matter to them).

I lived in Cincinnati for 10 yrs. There is no "red Ohio." It's a purple state (if we're gonna use these misleading, simplistic color IDs). So I'm not surprised to see this resistance in Butler County. (Also, Ohio has what is arguably THE most corrupt, GOP gerrymandered legislature in the nation)
