The Senate is considering the Protect College Sports Act, which would undermine college athletes’ collective power while letting the NCAA and powerful athletic conferences set the terms and conditions of work. The AFL-CIO and its Sports Council urge Senators to reject this bill.

Dolly Parton knew what it was like to struggle as she fought for working families her whole career. From providing free books to kids to giving working women our "9 to 5" anthem, she was an icon and an inspiration. Rest in power to our union sister. We will always love you.

IHSS Providers represented by UDW Secure New Contract with Riverside County
On Tuesday, In-Home Supportive Service Providers (IHSS) represented by United Domestic Workers of America (UDW) arrived early to the Riverside County Board of Supervisors meeting to support the proposed contract renewal with the county. The Board of Supervisors voted unanimously to pass the union contract after months of bargaining with members. Rachel Terry, a Riverside IHSS Provider and UDW member, gave public comment to talk about the difference the IHSS program makes in allowing her to provide excellent care for her nephew from the comfort of their home.
