Hmmm... Impressed to get a reply over the weekend (and within 48 hours), but this explanation does seem like a bit of a cop out - and suggests a lack of foresight.

@alexhorne.bsky.social @channel4tv.bsky.social @channel4.bsky.social . I've just submitted this complaint to Channel 4. Alex, we love what you do and I'm not sure if there's anything you can do about this, but I do think streaming on Channel 4 needs a little more care!
The test of a complaint to Channel 4 (my wife has pointed out that I put down too many actuallys, but it was written with some ire: 'This is a complaint about the adverts for channel 4 programmes on Taskmaster Bleeped, being streamed on the Channel 4 streaming app. Given that it's Taskmaster Bleeped, so clearly designed to be viewed by families with younger children, I think it's a major mistake to include adverts for Channel 4 programmes designed for adults. It's actually irresponsible. This evening, we were watching an episode (Series 11 Episode 3) with our 9 year old son. He loves watching this programme: it's currently part of our weekly ritual. In the first ad break, you included an advert for the documentary 'Love You to Death': the advert is clearly inappropriate for children. It's actually deeply disturbing. It elicited a visceral response from my son: he was terrified and disturbed. It wrecked his ability to enjoy the rest of the programme. I would like an explanation for why this happened. And an apology. I really don't think that this is suitable and you ought to consider your policy with advertising on your streaming platform.'

Clearly they fed this - or something like it - into the AI prompt. All the better for venerating God Emperor Trump.

@teachertapp.bsky.social today... I feel like several of these are harrowingly awful and would kill off some of my enthusiasm for teaching GCSE #teamenglish

Merry Christmas, from my favourite pub in Oxford: The Royal Blenheim. A fabulous pint of Bostin' Mild XXL from Green Duck @greenduckbrew.bsky.social Malty, sweet, a touch of smoke at the back. The platonic ideal of a festive pint.

416 years of Milton today. Given the times, this passage from 'Lycidas', written in response to the sudden death of a friend in 1637, springs to mind: Last came, and last did go, The Pilot of the Galilean lake; Two massy keys he bore of metals twain (The golden opes, the iron shuts amain). (/1)

Advent Beer 'n' Snack Calendar 2024 #1 - second year of this new tradition - a lovely, quite fruity NEIPA (New England India Pale Ale - the hazy, much less bitter offspring of the original IPAs) from Pretty Decent Beer Co (based in London) - the snack is 'Spicy Chicken' flavour Salty Dog crisps.
A can of 'I Reckon It's A Banksy' beer from Pretty Decent Beer Co, a glass containing said beer, and open packet of spicy chicken flavoured crisps.

I simply refuse to believe that this is not an @mralistairgreen.bsky.social character, my liege
From an article in the Guardian newspaper about what chefs eat: 'A first pot of the day of Barry’s Tea (milk, no sugar) is vital, and where a biscuit and newspaper were once the order of the day, for the most part, a biscuit is now a treat, usually a Rich Tea or a Le Petit Beurre. The day given its greeting – Soho ahoy. It is hard to cycle past Maison Bertaux and not be lured by the delights of a pain au chocolat, pain au raisin, cheese croissant or indeed a croissant to dunk in a cappuccino at Quo Vadis, or a flat white from Flat White on Berwick Street.'Another extract from the same article: 'Then to Lina Stores for focaccia and mortadella; a wealth of naughty biscuits; salami; prosciutto; a fresh, dripping mozzarella. Pursuits concluded, cravings sated, ’tis to the kitchen we go, with extra treats in hand.' Plus a photograph of Jeremy Lee, the chef in question, posing over a table covered with different dishes.

Time to reissue this, I think #education #teaching
A meme based on a medieval illustration of a smiling man being stabbed by four other smiling figures. The victim is labelled 'Me' whilst the swords of the attackers are labelled 'SLT', 'Year 9', 'Government Policy' and 'Parents'. At the bottom the text says 'Teaching is a vocation'
