Something I've realized using AI in project delivery for tech is I don't get to share knowledge. Throughout my career I've had mentors that helped me understand how to think about problems at scale & how to apply critical thinking in tech. Now I build agents instead of sharing knowledge & sharing.

Waiting is the hardest part. I take losses when I'm impatient and sometimes I'm just wrong. It took many failures for me to start to believe that waiting is the key. Waiting for the reaction and study of effort rather than reacting to movement has helped a lot.

Happy the message of appreciation made it through the all this algo driven noise. The work you & other scientists do is laudable and should be celebrated. Many people feel this way & we are grateful, but we are drowned out by negative and outrage engagement algorithms, bots, and influence campaigns.

I've done a lot of work on this recently and it's helped a bit. Work has also been more of my focus recently which is not bad, the market will always be and if we have skill and dedication to our craft we can always apply it when we have time.

As soon as we assign value to outcome rather than impartially following our system we are in trouble. It happens in many ways and is related to our belief system learned or accepted and our emotions. It's something we must be aware of in trading. It effects our perceptions and decisions in real-time

Haven't been posting about trading much. Had a rough patch where I made a classic mental/emotional mistake. It was subtle and I didn't notice it until a bit of pain. I started to measure outcome and seek worthiness as a trader from it. Trading requires an impartial mind at all times. #trading #spx

I read a lot as a teen, loved sci-fi and anything I could get hands on. It was an escape from rural poverty. College (Comp Sci) all I read was tech, twenty year career, nothing but tech, it was a lot to keep up with. On my forty-fifth birthday I did one thing...started reading OMW.

If I had a magic machine that seemed to give answers and I could charge more for the "better" answers of the new magic machine version and it was very hard to know how the magic machine arrived at answers...it wouldn't take much to make the older cheaper magic machine provide "worse" answers.

This is true, so much circular funding they will hide metrics. As open source models become viable for profit labs lose value. Have been experimenting with Mistral, Qwen and Kronos for fun on the side. In pro life I have to use Claude due to subs and other constraints. github.com/shiyu-coder/...

Interesting question. Tbh, it feels like psyops topped with grift & graft. Constant algo driven misinformation from multiple sources eroding trust in specialization & expertise. Brains turned to mush w/ near zero attention span & lack of critical thinking skills. Abdication of agency to technology.

I've learned that accepting lack of control over outcome is as important as accepting the only control we have is our behavior. Learning this and applying it in real time in a dynamic uncertain market with risk in play are completely different experiences.

Ty for sharing this. Psychology of managing uncertainty and risk has been a large part of the mindset work I've been doing. Avoiding uncertainty and risk is part of our evolution. Trading has been like an experiment with real time feedback to observe the impact on emotions, thought and belief.
