Haven't been posting about trading much. Had a rough patch where I made a classic mental/emotional mistake. It was subtle and I didn't notice it until a bit of pain. I started to measure outcome and seek worthiness as a trader from it. Trading requires an impartial mind at all times. #trading #spx

If I had a magic machine that seemed to give answers and I could charge more for the "better" answers of the new magic machine version and it was very hard to know how the magic machine arrived at answers...it wouldn't take much to make the older cheaper magic machine provide "worse" answers.

Let's talk about losing trades and risk management. Active trading is a game of probabilities at its core. Losing streaks happen, it's important to plan for them. Over leveraging is a very fast way to lose our trading account. I use ~2.5% of my account per trade. My worst losing streak is 15 losses.

Just had the worst experience on TOS in a cash account, thank goodness I'm buying options and playing small (working a small account challenge) so the risk is built into the option. i.e. the most I can lose is the cost of the option position.
