Just got word that Chika's health is deteriorating and it might be her time. I really did not want this to happen while we were away.

I definitely need to take more selfies with friends at Overload

Got at least one photo of us at the Apothecary Diaries booth thanks to @harpnote.bsky.social

I do not have the energy to match the Ladybeard crowd let alone the man himself.

Got 2nd place in the Overload Anime Quiz. In true fashion, I choked at the last question (twice actually, I also choked the final qualifying round but filled in for Blossom who didn't want to join the 2nd stage.)

Resident Evil movie was good. So much better than the Paul W A Anderson ones

Went to a cool mini toy museum in the Toy World in Dunedin

Mushoku Tensei coming in with what feels like a ReZero episode this week. This whole season really was building up to this exact moment.

I'm not sure how I feel about the ending of Goodbye, Lara. In retrospect it makes sense given the title of the show, but at the same time, it feels like it just ends.

We're getting a baton pass of Inept Villainess to Apothecary Diaries and back for the next 3 seasons. Good time to be into Chinese Palace drama inspired anime.

All packed for Overload! We're doing a Dunedin trip the week leading up to Overload so we had to get everything all done this weekend.

Looking at the Overload schedule properly and deciding to swap our cosplay days around since we're getting a photo with Hyuganatsu

Last week's Trash Taste episode had me revisit my About Me Anime Grid and while I was browsing I saw they had an Anime of the Year grid. So I spent about an hour browsing Anilist to fill it out. I found that before 2010, finding a stand out anime was easy, but after 2010 there's so many contenders.

I know no one seemed to watch Drops of God, but ending after only 8/12 apostles really makes me hope they do one final season. I should probably check out the live action they made a couple of years ago.

After pulling Brynhild, I finally am able to fill out both main and event support lists with SSRs in every slot. Although having Medb the only servant at Skill Level 5 on my lists annoys me (I need more Rider Gems)

We never did a proper shoot for Zuko and Azula so one of things I wanted to do as I got better with editing was edit an old con photo to have a better background and bending effects. It ended up giving Mortal Kombat loading screen vibes.

I think this episode of ReZero really solidified why I prefer Subaru's story over Rudeus from Mushoku Tensei as character redemption narrative. There is an emphasis that Subaru is not an overpowered guy with a cheat power in his world. Yes, he returns by death, but that doesn't make him strong.

Watched this week's ReZero and all I could think was "In spite of everything, you're still you" Which is both the point and a good thing for Subaru.

I was not expecting to see an Atelier styled Apothecary Diaries game get announced.

Blossom resummoned Brynhild for me and so I got Medb with my free ticket. I still have around 550 quartz to roll for Melusine, but given that the Lostbelt 6 banner is due in another month or so, I might hold fire until then just to get more quartz and tickets

The free SSR ticket for FGO is out now. I've rounded down my choices to Lancer Artoria or Queen Medb. Both because they're story locked so I'm unlikely to ever roll for them unless they're in an Event banner. Artoria mainly because I want another SSR Lancer, Medb because I like her from events

I'm so happy to finally have both of these figures.

Cao Pi doesn't exist in this game, don't think I've even seen him as an NPC, so I guess I'll marry Zhenji instead.

I was sad that in the time I was waiting for a time when I could comfortably afford MonHun Wilds cosplays for both Blossom and I, they went out of print on Uwowo and Dokidoki. But hopefully we will get new cosplays when Ascendance comes out. Alma's new look does look more comfy for Blossom.

In thinking about trying to get through my 12 games in 12 months New Year's Resolution I was thinking of shorter games to challenge and remembered that Megaman 8 is the only main line game I haven't beaten. Unfortunately it appears I don't have it. Thought I might on PSN, but nope.

With each new episode of Goodbye Lara, we get more and more evidence that Mari is Lara's true love. Every pivotal moment where she's had to reflect on who she cares about the most, she's thought about Mari. For all that is good in this world, please let them end up together.

Kirito trying to maintain his lone wolf image by just chilling in the most remote corner of the 2nd floor main hub. And then his entire quest line is basically gauging how good at the game you are because he wants more friends he can rely on.

I realised this year that I am now older than my Dad's age when I was born and this was quickly followed the realisation that I probably won't have kids. While we're far from struggling financially, I don't think we would be physically/mentally comfortable raising one with our current lifestyle.

Cleared Ordeal Call 3. Now I can get back to my regular gaming schedule now that I'm no longer facing a time limit with FGO. The final parts of the story I probably would have appreciated a lot more had I played Extra and CCC (and Tsukihime) and not just have a passing familiarity with it.

Saw that 00 gunpla were back in rotation so I looked up the Susanowo to see if it was in stock at Pop Stop since I was planning on walking by today. It was out of stock at my local and low stock in other stores so I ended up ordering one online. Turns out my local restocked it today. Oh well.
