So, #writingcommunity - I'm running into a weird problem. I'm drafting and having an awesome time with the story and characters but like... It's impacting my sleep. I'm tired and a little grumpy pretty much all the time but hitting the stop button is really hard. Any advice?

Well friends, we crested 25k on the fan fic yesterday and I'm realizing I have no choice but to see it through to the end. It's a little scary, if I'm honest. It might be the longest thing I've ever written that's not NaNoWriMo content and I want to do it Well. Just have to trust my characters.

Happy Wednesday from this lovely meadow phlox!

A cluster of small pink-purple flowers amid summer greenery. The edges are ruffley and there are many more buds waiting to open.

Because of Story Reasons, I'm trying to come up with Pratchett-esque names for conference rooms in Heaven, and so far "Awkward Gathering Space 1.5" and "Room No One Actually Wants to Occupy" are the top two. Any other ideas?

That first draft feel when you write a fantastic bit of dialogue for a scene that is roughly two or three days out from actually being written (the tism requires chronological writing, I don't make the rules).

I lodged a Complaint at my local eyeglasses place about my new glasses, which are currently on round number 3 at the lab. The first time, the left lens literally wobbled after I'd been wearing them for less than a day. I got them back after 2 weeks & the barrel distortion is awful. Fingers crossed!

Chapters 4 and 5 of my Good Omens post-season-2 fic are up! These feature Crowley setting some boundaries, Rose finding a loophole, and Anathema ordering a latte I'd really like to have myself right about now. Have fun!

Question for the hivemind: is there a mini-game you've played where you have to put certain musical notes in a specific order to make a scale or a few measures of song? And if so, which video game did it come from? (Writing research questions are fun!)

Gdi I've been involved in fandom for like 20 years and the Ineffable Husbands have been the thing that gets me to finally make an AO3 account and I'm really proud of this one thus far so go read maybe? (Yes it's a good omens fan fic but I'm having a ball with it.)

I got new cartridges for the Glider today! Kaweco Royal Blue and Faber Castell Cobalt Blue. I also got two Clairefontaine notebooks. The first photo is on a Claire that feels much smoother so I thought it would be better. Surprise! Both me and the pen prefer the slightly textured Crok'Book!

Lined paper with fountain pen writing on it in Kaweco Royal Blue. Some skipping and stutters are noticeable.

Fountain pen writing on an unlined notebook page. Once the ink gets flowing smoothly, no skips or stutters are noticeable.
