Ian Loring @ianloring.bsky.social · 07/09/2026A 173 minute doc from Nathan Fielder on Elizabeth Holmes sounds incredibly for a chunk of people and absolutely fucking not for me, I cannot vibe with the energy of that teaser at all, wow. 000
Ian Loring @ianloring.bsky.social · 05/09/2026Always liked Gasly, sucks Ferrari didn’t do better but man him winning Monza again would be a fun result, gonna be a good race tomorrow. 000
Ian Loring @ianloring.bsky.social · 28/08/2026GTA 6 looks very good and I also have zero interest in it taking over my life, that fucker will be responsible for a lot of arguments around Christmas this year. Also the cover and shooting mechanics look like they haven’t evolved since Gears of War. 000

Ian Loring @ianloring.bsky.social · 12/08/2026The Mourinho doc series is 3 hours of “we believed in him and we won things and then things that weren’t his fault messed it up or he left when he wanted to” rinsed and repeated with the last 15 mins trying to ask him tougher questions and him saying he doesn’t want to talk about it. Great. 000

Ian Loring @ianloring.bsky.social · 09/08/2026The Bear Season 5 is so good, god I’m glad they stuck the landing. A good stretch rivals season 2 and man.. right time to end but god I’d go for more. 000
Ian Loring @ianloring.bsky.social · 25/07/2026Finished 007: First Light today. If it were a Bond film it would be in the top 5 for me. Patrick Gibson is tremendous, there some terrific plot beats and despite a final half hour that doesn’t have the best gameplay it sets us up for an exciting new path on Bond stories. Great supporting cast too. 110
Ian Loring @ianloring.bsky.social · 22/07/2026Watched Excalibur for the first time, probably the last also. Was really into the “what the fuck is happening?” of it all until the last act when I thought it fell off a fucking cliff despite some brilliantly weird armour for the bad guy. 141 minutes and a long 141 minutes but it looked ace. 010
Ian Loring @ianloring.bsky.social · 19/07/2026Also the Dune Part 3 Prologue… gritty as fuck and looks like it’s going to go for the jugular. Maybe a weird bit to show out of context from the rest but one image in particular ruled. 000
Ian Loring @ianloring.bsky.social · 19/07/2026Seeing The Odyssey again next weekend. Need another crack at it, just like I seem to with every Nolan before I love them. Immense in imax 70mm, but I hope I like Holland’s performance more next time round. The stuff shot in Iceland the highlight for me but the Morton bit is terrific and the last… 100
Ian Loring @ianloring.bsky.social · 15/07/2026The instant pile on of Tuchel reminds me why football brings out the worst in people waaaaaay more than discussed. Looking forward to Reform using this somehow in the months ahead, well done everyone. 110
Ian Loring @ianloring.bsky.social · 13/07/2026I just paid money for a Secret Screening. The only way I’d have paid money to see Pinocchio Unstrung but you know what? Is it shit? Yes. Of course. Did I enjoy more of it than expected? Also yes. Pretty decent kills and a level of “fuck it” to any sense of plot made it a doable 82 minutes. 110

Ian Loring @ianloring.bsky.social · 10/07/2026Evil Dead Burn. Grim, could have done with a dog related trigger warning and the “what’s it about” is tired as fuck but a couple decent sequences and a fantastically weird homage to 2001 almost make it worth it. Chop 15 mins off for fucks sake. 000

Ian Loring @ianloring.bsky.social · 04/07/2026The Invite is by a distance Olivia Wilde’s best directorial effort so far. Balanced comedy and drama incredibly well, looks bloody fantastic and just thoroughly entertaining. Four leads all ace. Fair play, hell of a reaction to Don’t Worry Darling. 000
Ian Loring @ianloring.bsky.social · 04/07/2026Big recommend for fans of the film. The Festival Cut for my money is better than the theatrical, Analog Horror In A Digital World by @mikemuncer.bsky.social is a banger visual essay and I’m a half hour into a 2 and a half long making of. Support this stuff! 1112

Ian Loring @ianloring.bsky.social · 14/06/2026Wish Disclosure Day was more of its first hour and less of the rest. Ending 20 mins quite profoundly “is that it?” For what in the film is supposed to be the exact opposite. A screenplay going for vibes over details which make sense but man Spielberg can shoot tension and action. 000
Ian Loring @ianloring.bsky.social · 19/05/2026Also Obsession is ace and way funnier than expected. The bit with the plant had multiple people say “what the fuck” and I was one of them. Indie Navarrete is ace. 100
Ian Loring @ianloring.bsky.social · 19/05/2026I’m a big fan of watching horror films in American cinemas. Watched Obsession in the Citywalk Florida Cinemark this afternoon which had great moments but the best was the dentist putting her hand in the patient’s mouth during the Insidious trailer and a guy shouting “don’t go in there”. Amazing. 000
