Surely you’re familiar with the Gwenpool examples, right? I bet that comic introduce a lot of people to these concepts.

Awesome. Tech has changed so rapidly in the last few decades, we're still figuring out how to hold onto and celebrate our past. I appreciate everyone engaged in shaping what that means!

At any rate, it certainly makes them feel more dreamy. I think at one point I contemplated adding bloom to the mobile app as an option, but clearly I didn't get around to it. You've shown it would've been a good idea!

The bloom is a nice touch, though, and one could make the argument that it actually better recreates the old-school experience of these scenes on a CRT, which naturally have some glow built-in. It also reminds me of the bloom used in old-school 2D animation.

To each their own of course, but I can't say I'm a fan of the supersampling; perhaps it allows one to appreciate the overall composition better, but I feel it takes one away from the nuance and precision of Mark's pixel placement.

😄 I think it's delightful! These scenes are part of all of our cultural heritage. And of course I'm pleased my "kinda shit" app can inspire such explorations 😉

Yeah, I came here to point out that Alvin Toffler‘s Future Shock book (which as far as I know coined the term) came out in 1970, just a year after the moon landing! So, did people feel future shock from the moon landing? I’d say definitively yes.

In general, I feel like the worst element of social media is that it really aggravates that impulse to be the first to say something or share something, and the truth is that focus on the novel is good for movements that are without merit and bad for positions that are well grounded.
