I'm listening to a recording of myself in deep trance and having a conversation with the hypnotist. Its ... disconcerting. I'm a more talkative, more chatty, less inhibited. I start saying things like "I am hypnotized." Just listening to it is trance-inducing, even without an induction.

My psych student friend wanted me to type out the notes for their class as they brainstormed them. "Now, I want you get comfortable and take a deep breath for me. Just relax and listen to my voice." My memory sort of stops after she said "sleep!" but she said later that the notes were perfect.

I'm at my regular eye doctor appointment. The assistant tells me to follow her finger up, down, left, right, left, right, up, down, up, down, up, down, down, "sleep!" The rest of the exam is blurry (no pun intended) but at least the pupil dilation eyedrops didn't sting as they usually did.
