We'll see if it holds, but another proposed data center in rural, heavily Republican America has gone down after massive pushback.

1. My late Gen Z/early Gen Alpha daughter’s peers throw around “what in the ChatGPT” whenever someone isn’t making sense, and 2. Winning politicos will be the ones that can articulate the inherent worth of an actual human doing/creating - even and perhaps especially when it could be automated

Statewide snowpack remains the worst on record, and it's not even close. It's barely half of where it should be. Again...zero pleasure delivering this news. There are outs, but we're gonna need a railroad track of storms in late February-April to get us out of this. #COwx

If you’re not from Idaho or the West, do yourself a favor and forego reading the Atlantic’s puff piece on Ammon Bundy. There’s nothing to be learned (not surprised he doesn’t like ICE), but it does show the MSM’s continuing failure to understand and take seriously extremist movements in these parts

I remember it like yesterday. I was a space-obsessed 1st grader at Earl Johnson in Golden. My teacher applied for the teacher in space program and was inconsolable. McCauliffe’s backup, from McCall ,did go to space later - and had a huge impact in my early career at Boise State. Spacetime is tiny

Welp. Colorado's snowpack is the worst on record, and there's barely any snow on the way for the mountains for the next 14 days. Northern mountains get a bit on Thursday, but it's a drop in the bucket. This pattern stinks. This winter stinks. #COwx

A large December storm hit the mountains of the Pacific Northwest – and left snow conditions in the Yakima Basin worse off in its wake. How might this event be a harbinger of winters to come? I offer this perspective piece, published today in @theconversation.com #snow #drought #climatechange

The western US is in a snow drought, and storms have been making it worse
A major atmospheric river brought record precipitation to the Pacific Northwest, yet the snow and water supply still suffered. It’s a growing problem.

As this article alludes to, while Vought has likely coveted theatrical chance to do this, the timing of this is not at all happenstance. It is inextricably linked to Trump’s ham handed attempt to get Polis to release his state-convicted, election-denying lackey Tina Peters from jail
