I made it out of the house today, and went hiking for the first time in ten years. I forget how many sights I can see close to home. Seven miles of foliage just starting to change. I'm hoping to make this a weekly thing.

Mobile games are cancer. But mobile ports of console/PC games are another story. Also, they're saving my life right now. I haven't been able to sit down at a console and play for weeks. The mobile ports of BALL X PIT and Balatro have been carrying me.

This might sound nitpicky, but this is one of the most lazy, over restrictive forms of level design in modern video games, IMO I was loving the Halo Remake up until the beginning of the second level where I stepped six inches from the designated path and was punished for it.

Lugging a CRT TV around for Halo LAN parties was an experience kids those days will never understand. Similar to packing up your family's desktop PC to take it to a LAN party. So many cables to untangle, dust everywhere, and everything was so heavy

There is a photograph of me, at 5 years old, reading the Super Mario Kart instruction manual to my younger sister on Easter Morning when I got the game. We had to wait to play, but I read that thing cover to cover over and over again to her. Physical manual. Physical game. I still own both.
