687 words written, and another chapter finished. That's a success after yesterday! 2 more chapters and an epilogue to go, and New Beginnings will be finished. I feel like I've come a long way with it, but I'm glad I made so many notes! They've definitely helped.

It's not been a great day (understatement), but I was able to get some writing done. That's an achievement, and I'm learning to count my blessings. Hopefully tomorrow will be better, and I'll finish this chapter, too.

Suddenly feeling rather low, and my confidence is a little low too, so I'm going to just throw myself into my writing. Writing has been a little hard today (I tried earlier but could get any words out), so I'll be glad if I can just get my 400 daily word goal done.

Between figuring out why Bluesky was down earlier and other things (stuff at home, etc), I haven't been able to write much at all tonight. I'm aiming to make it up tomorrow. I got up to a good bit last night and I want to keep going as soon as possible!

The big question I have right now is: how much will playing Final Fantasy Resonance make me want to write for that? I wrote a bit for it, back when it was FFBE, so I know and love the characters already... We'll have to wait and see if anything sparks.

Afterwards, I'll probably continue with The Bishop and the Thief, and maybe start on a sidestory for New Beginnings featuring Phenn? I'm not sure on that one. I'd like to write more CotC stuff, too.

Another chapter of New Beginnings completed. I think there are only 3 more to write now, and an epilogue. I just posted ch12, and I just finished ch15, so... Yep, it's nearly over! I'll post ch13 on Sunday as usual, and carry on writing the remaining chapters.🙂

Okay! 520 words written, and I managed to finish another chapter, too! I'm quite happy with that, but the flow didn't quite feel right so I'll be looking closely at it later on. I think I'll take the weekend off to recharge, and get back to writing on Monday.

But! I'm not sure whether to follow up on it or not. I have one other facet I want to add to it, but I'm a little concerned about whether to go for it or not. Phenn's a popular character, and I'm not sure if my own headcanon would go down well with the majority.

I had an idea for a side story to New Beginnings while I was shopping earlier, and I've only just remembered about it. It would feature Phenn, and take place shortly after NB ends. All I have right now is that Phenn would have a dog and go jogging before his shifts in the Tavern, no real plot yet.

I'm really glad we're getting Erhardt in Octopath CotC (well, the JP version is, but GL will eventually), and another EX for Primrose... Still, why not EX Olberic, Alfyn, or Therion? (Or Theo, Gilderoy or Scarecrow, for that matter?) Let the guys have their EX versions too!

I'll be continuing with the rest tomorrow, but it's so weird to think I'm actually pretty close to finishing this series. Tomorrow I'll start chapter 14, and it should end up at 18 chapters long, plus an epilogue. Still, there's lots of time for some fluff yet! 💜

That's another chapter of New Beginnings finished! I breezed past my daily word goal today, so I'm really happy with that. Moreover, I got the big reveal scene done too, and while it threw up a couple of surprises, I like how it's turned out. Time for a break before bed!

Reached my daily word goal! I'm getting to a good bit on New Beginnings now so I want to carry on with that tomorrow. Celsus is about to hear a key part of Pius' mystery! So I need to read my notes a bit closer so I can get it right. Fingers crossed I can do the scene I had in my head justice!
