So I decided Wrifter wasn't doing it for me anymore and shifted my premodern deck over to UW Landstill. Honestly a pretty sweet archetype, I really like this deck. I added more Faerie Conclaves which may get shifted for either cyclers or just islands.

idk about yall but this probably feels like one of the most Generically Unique Commanders out there because a 5 mana Polymorph is just cool and everyone has a big goober card they like. Like making it so you always get The Idiot into play is great and it'll be YOUR IDIOT. Unless You Like Green

But actually... Kinda sucks... I really dislike the art for the Labyrinth secret lair which sucks cuz Labyrinth is super dope. Oh the one exception, I love Didymous, this card is bad and it is perfect I love him. Genuinely hilarious he is Legendary Thieving Magpie.

So this comment has me thinking about Price vs Budget and how to a degree it does seem Budget Decks seem to be moving out of frame. Like "proxy everything" is fine but budget brewing has always been a big part of casual magic I don't think I'm wording it well, but there is some melancholy

More cards to add for a potential Isochron Scepter package and Null Elemental Blast feels like an obvious include. Both protects the rod for a little bit of removal and hates commanders. Untimely Malfunction protects Scepter and hates artifacts Malfunction kills dudes and facts PoP kills people

Interesting notes on the Way of Enchantments. 1) 4 of the 5 colors come with a passive ability with red not getting one. However Red Ajani has a unique passive that makes a token on activating any Loyalty Ability 2) 3/5 colors, Red White and Black all add the ability to tick up your Jace token

Standard and even Modern shown us that Into the Floodmaw and Boomerang Basics are solid tempo plays and Mana efficient removal is solid. Remembering that Unsummon still kinda feels like a solid tempo play especially if it lets you push damage or prevent a hearty swing like bouncing a Wrecking Gecko

It's like $4 but Ripples of Potential can save you from losing an entire storm turn's worth of work in Gerald Fleshwright but phasing out all of your zombies if you are afraid of a boardwipe happening. The main question is do you cast it on your turn to make an added body or hold it for the wipe?

The thing I liked about Dostoyevsky's "Notes From Underground" was that it really brought how that this "Proud Wretch" was really a bundle of anxiety and self doubts. I cared about the Underground Man and kinda wanted to cry when he hurt Leisa by treating her like a prostitute to drive her away.
