The vote today in the EP on Ceuta was another case of the EPP voting together with the far-right (via @howtheyvote.eu). It was also a vote the EPP claimed showing a divide 'between those for stand for a strong Union' with EPP and far-right groups together on one side.

💡 We now highlight when a vote is on a "motion to reject" a proposal - in these cases, the semantics of voting in favor/against are flipped, which caused some confusion in the past. Example: howtheyvote.eu/votes/196482

Acceleration of permit-granting for defence readiness projects
Sep 16, 2026 - A10-0271/2025 - Proposition de rejet - Am 64

This vote is about a proposal to reject a legislative proposal.

Voting behavior, also depicted with a barchart in the screenshot:
For: 95 (14%). Against: 546 (82%). Abstentions: 22. In total, 663 MEPs voted. 54 MEPs didn't vote.

🐛 European Parliament's plenary is in session this week - but votes are **not** up on our site! We are facing a technical problem that won't be fixed Immediately due to complexity and our resources. We have workarounds in mind and post here when things run again. Votes will be backfilled.

Highlight of the month: the EP's interim position on the next MFF. EPP, S&D, Renew + Greens carried it - but only with 56% in favour. PfE, ESN and most ECR voted against, plus Meloni's FdI abstaining. Voting data from @howtheyvote.eu. A taste of how hard the real MFF vote will be next year.
