Yes, Toast-IE looks like another reluctant TARDIS traveller, very classic Who! The BBC's brief only specified a few key things, otherwise only really mentioning foes and villains amongst returning elements to include in pitches. Plus, it's not like K-9 has had the best track-record with spin-offs...

We are commissioning a new animated Doctor Who series for CBeebies. This interpretation of Doctor Who should be appropriate for the CBeebies audience. We are keen to retain the following attributes. The Doctor:-
- is hugely intelligent, especially with scientific knowledge
- is aspirational for our audience
- travels through time and space saving individuals, civilisations, and planets
- is an alien with two hearts from the planet Gallifrey
- has a strong moral compass
- avoids physical combat, relying on intelligence, humour, and diplomacy to resolve conflicts
- has a TARDIS and a Sonic Screwdriver which should feature in the series

The Doctor will attract a range of friendly and relatable companions who join in on the adventures and provide additional points of view as they collectively solve problems.

i assume the little angry purple figure (wool hair!) dressed like a dalek is a girl cos of the eyelashes. baby girl davros? if nothing else, it's going to be fun seeing other doctor who aliens in this style. i love how expressive and exaggerated everything is. wonder if they considered using k-9?

feeling bad in the brain this week, but replaying the ps1 version of spyro 2: gateway to glimmer and realising most of the levels are still ingrained in my muscle memory is kind of like having naturally-occurring serotonin.

now why the hell is google attributing targeted sponsored advertising for a transphobic children's book to Booktopia? I was relieved to see that they don't actually stock that title, but I've contacted them to let them know google is charging them to push hate in their name regardless.
