@batshaped.bsky.social hello! years ago, I saw a comic you made discussing the relationship between the creator and the audience, and the value of making unique stuff from the heart for a niche audience, vs making something widely regarded. is this comic available anywhere to view now? thank you!!

🫒 I've created a zine with donation links to aid those in Palestine! 🍉 #zine #mututalaid #gaza

Palestinian flag followed by "Aid For Palestine" title, and a quote “Wherever you are, whatever sand you can throw on the gears of genocide, do it now. If it’s a handful, throw it. If it’s a fingernail full, scrape it out and throw. Get in the way however you can. The elimination of the Palestinian people is not inevitable. We can refuse with our every breath and action. We must.”
Rasha Abdulhadi

a pencil drawing of Abod and Leen, with a QR code to donate to their fund. text reads "Abod Hajjaj is a Palestinian man from Al-Maghazi camp in Gaza. He and his wife are expecting their second daughter in October 2025. They are saving up to evacuate but also need money to purchase food and medicine for their growing family. Anything helps!"

a crayon drawing of a Palestinian sunbird, a QR code to donate to esims for Gaza, text reads "eSims allow those in Gaza to communicate digitally and access information online despite the IOF incessantly cutting off wireless communication services. eSims cost around $36 each, but any amount is helpful!"

a crayon drawing of watermelon, water, and rice, qr code to donate to WCK, text reads "World Central Kitchen provides bread, water, and hot meals to folks in Gaza. On July 19, 2025 they served 80,000 meals to those in need!"

a vibrant landscape with yellow sunlight bursting through a wall of trees. the sun casts dappled light on a blue and green clearing in front. some of openings in leaves are shaped like stars

the swamp of despair (from 2018)

A graph titled “The Creative Process” showing a cute pumpkin girl going through stages of making something. She starts out high up, “I just had the best idea!!!” and starts sliding down a hill “this isnt as simple as I expected.” She winds up in The Swamp of Despair (two skulls say: “this part sucks! don’t give up!”) She says, “this sucks, I suck. Why am I wasting my time.” She crawls her way out of the swamp “it’s not perfect but I’m going to finish” and crests the final hill, “it’s done??? I lived???” Finally, she walks away from it all, glittering with pride. “This turned out pretty good!”

“This Is What Our Ruling Class Has Decided Will Be Normal” Remembering Aaron Bushnell’s words and the close to 100,000 people martyred by american imperialism through israel. In the year since we’ve seen so much brutality, proving the necessity for us to keep putting our skin in the game

An illustration of former serviceman Aaron Bushnell during his self-immolation on this day last year.

how does one ask for kindness?

a traditional pen and ink drawing of a coyote looking upwards with eyes wide and mouth slightly open. a burst of color in white, yellow, orange, pink, and blue (painted in gouache) imperfectly bisects its head
