Seeing and hearing the word “hope” a lot when it comes to games lately. Usually boils down to some flavor of “I hope this person or group with the power or purse strings chooses to do the right thing this time”. Idk, as long as there’s no recourse for mistreating workers, what’s there to hope for?

Today is the birthday of cartoonist Jackie Ormes (Aug. 1, 1911-Dec. 26, 1985), the first Black woman to create a newspaper comic strip that was read nationally in the US. She created Torchy Brown in Dixie to Harlem, Torchy in Heartbeats & Patty-Jo ‘n’ Ginger. Patty Jo became a toy doll.
