🚨@_pauljoyce: There’s regret at missing out on the 2013-14 title to City. Then there is the team that Klopp built: between Feb 2019 & Feb 2020, #LFC won 36 & drew 2 league games, taking 110 points from a possible 114. They pushed breathlessly, having earlier laid the groundwork to end a 30yr wait.

The fact that City made a statement today on reports of a verdict & not the actual verdict itself, tells you exactly what is going to be their stance going forward. They even allude to the next phase of their strategy themselves. They are going to play the victim. Sickening.

Individually the City players are not at fault, but that squad would not have existed if not for Financial Doping. They would not have moved to City if they hadn't paid the big money which they shouldn't have been able to do. #lfc

Stripping City’s titles is the biggest thing, for me. It completely undermines the reason behind it all, & shames their owners. All that time, effort, & money spent for nothing. It’s a chef’s kiss.

Since Manchester City’s owners are guilty of systematic cheating, surely the punishments (relegation, huge fines, transfer bans) should also including stripping them of their right to run a football club?

The idea behind sports washing is ego driven billionaire nonsense in general, but in nation states, it’s a more sinister & cynical idea. Fining a nation state owned football club would barely register. Shaming them, though… Null & voiding their “achievements”… Labelling them cheats… That will hurt.

In essence, if proven, it’s the equivalent of City’s owners pissing on the collective rules, shitting on the competition they were so proud to be called champions of, & then telling everyone to fuck themselves once it all came out. A fine will not cut it, I’m afraid.
