exactly same expectation and such an intelligent person (who has young children, their futures to protect!). Begs the Q: @councilorepg.bsky.social, WHY would you vote ‘no ISQ oversight’, despite clear and repeated foreshadowing you heard about CEI hub disasters on the Willamette?

update: spoke to a small biz person that i really respect, and even HE did not know what happened. i don’t know how much more we have to scream for people to take this shit seriously. what more needs to happen for biz people to give a fuck? will be once a patron is gravely hurt? killed?

It looks like bsky mods are going crazy and banning people again. Wafrn uses ATProto without being reliant on bluesky. It also federates with mastodon. join.wafrn.net wafrn.net/faq/GuideIntro.html wafrn.net/faq/user.html

Big Wafrn update happening now, apologies for the lack of notice. We won't be down long but performance may be a bit slow at first until it gets warmed back up. For details see codeberg.org/wafrn/wafrn/releases/t…

Just a heads up if you’ve recently tried to join this server, I manually approve the process. No automation. So so sometimes it can be a bit before before I notice. I might be at work or asleep or just busy. Also I’ve definitely had a number of sketchy bots and things so some of you m[...]

Alright, home from work now. Setting a timer for 30 minutes, then update.

010

hostess @hostess.bsky.vaguely.art · 17/07/2026

We have a small update coming tonight. Probably in about 2 hours. I’m still at work. Nothing major, just minor bug fixes. You probably won’t even notice we’re down.

000

hostess @hostess.bsky.vaguely.art · 11/07/2026

I snuck in an update the other day. We’re back on main instead of preproduction.

0140

hostess @hostess.bsky.vaguely.art · 26/06/2026

Also I have an optimization thing to enable tonight that I spaced when rebooting, but I’m at work now… so if we seem a bit laggy it’ll adjust later when I’m home. No downtime required.

0150

hostess @hostess.bsky.vaguely.art · 26/06/2026

If you noticed we were down for a minute a bit ago we had to jump to preproduction for security stuff. Also we’re on on preproduction instead of main branch for now, but we’ll return to main when appropriate.

010

hostess @hostess.bsky.vaguely.art · 18/06/2026

So that 10-15 minutes turned into 40, but we're back and updated. Silly me forgot that I disabled root logins a while ago and had to dig around for my server notebook for a while trying to figure out WTF...

So Wafrn has released an update today. I’m going to try and get it done this evening, but we’re short staffed at the bakery and I didn’t get home till 1 am last night. So it might be tomorrow. I’m guessing we’ll be down for 10-15 minutes if it goes smoothly, maybe less. I’ll give y’al[...]
