as much as i love that show, i don't think any show could handle it as well (and shamelessly) as this one did. it doesn't try to hide the reality these shots come from, and in fact constantly envelopes our characters in them and makes them feel so lived-in as a result

everything about how this scene was boarded is so perfect....obviously the middle barrier, but also the dark and rainy night outside on the left side where lara previously felt the most alienated. but now she's on the right side of that barrier, showing the shelter and moment of peace she was given
