there's a difference between touting that endorsement and going out of your way to court that endorsement. if centrist Rs want to hop along for the ride that's fine, but Ds should never put getting centrist R votes over exciting their own base. AES shows you don't have to compromise to win them over

Commission work :)

Montgomery is still solid red but the suburbs are growing rapidly and there are a lot of wealthier, college educated types there. If suburban Rs are staging a revolt, you would expect to see some movement there. Simply cutting down R margins there would be a victory for Dems
