Torneko update: Got to 20f. Its really annoying that I escape a dungeon safely and the game just goes "You dont have a vault so we sold all your items but you only need 3,000 gold for the next plot thing so the other 17,000 gold just goes poof. No other Mystery Dungeon mugs you this hard.

Because I am insane and have decided to declutter my hoard of physical jrpgs, I have created a new system called the 3 strikes Backlog Blitz. The rules are: If a jrpg doesn't hook me in the first 30 minutes, strike 1. By 1 hour, strike 2. By 2 hours, strike 3, you're out. Lets start ranking!

Recently got Folklore for ps3 running on my Retroid Pocket 6 with a patch to remove the gyro gimmick. Its wild booting this and seeing the Japan Studio logo. Like finding a polaroid of a friend who was murdered.

Think I'm done with Gunpey's story mode. Complete rng. Oh the boss gets his super twice in a row and drops 6 "?" Tiles and you get no line blocks in 1 row. It really wants to be the Wonderswan's tetris and....no. Its like if tetris didn't let you move pieces horizontally.

Game #5: Darkwing Duck (NES) What is basically a licensed megaman game in a disney skin. The weapons system is not as complex and the cape to block projectiles has very limited uses. Your max health being 4 hits, combined with short after hit invincibility, makes the difficulty very swingy.B effort

#25- Atelier Marie Remake (Switch) 5 of 6 endings achieved (didnt 100% the compendium). Compared to other time based Ateliers, this is arguably way too generous, even with them making the standard ending slightly harder. Very relaxing RPG to grind out though.

My Marie at level 50, which unlocks thr legendary person ending.

Historians would later say they were legendary roommates.

I played the first hour of Angelique: Tenkuu no requiem. This is a very slow and borderline boring rpg buoyed by nice cutscenes and pretty effeminate boys, if you're into that. I initially thought "this is ok for 1994" only to be shocked it was released as late as 1998! Not Ruby party's best.

#21- Endless Monday: Dreams and deadlines + overtime (switch) I wasn't into it in the first hour, but it gradually pulled me in and became quite the fun experience. Despite all the silliness, the twist reveals a burning message the creator wants to sear into you. Great game.
