These AI company valuations don’t make any sense, they are basically «if we took all jobs». Dude, then nobody has any money to pay for any of the stuff you’re selling.

This is quite cool. My university is the first organisation in the world to force Microsoft to allow us to turn off copilot summaries in Word 365, after a backlash against it from staff (including, very vocally, me). That cannot have been easy for our heroic IT people so hats very much off to them!

it's probably obvious to others and maybe even researched, but I'm learning that baking is good for fighting depression. You put work into doing a thing and then BAM the oven timer dings and that thing has become something delicious. Instant dopamine.

The image is of a four panel comic.
The title for the first two panels is "Young Me".
In panel one we see a young version of Sarah, the protagonist. She says, "I want to achieve great things".
In panel two we zoom in a little on young Sarah's face. She continues, "An astounding career! An amazing house! World peace!"
The title for the last two panels is "Adult Me".
In panel three we see adult Sarah, looking down.
In panel four we zoom out and see she is in front of a basil plant. She simply says "I want to grow a basil plant".
