The web site told me to come back in a few days because it has high traffic lol

Hobojim @hobojim.bsky.social · 29/09/2026

Is this something that has happened to anybody else? I've been asked 3 times over the years to chase after someone who did something dangerous when I called 911, and I've always told them firmly but politely that I'm not going to do that. My wife has never been asked to do this. Anybody else?

Walked my daughter to daycare this morning and saw a pretty big car crash. Everybody is fine, thankfully, but when I called 911 they told me to chase after the inebriated driver when they took off running from the scene. They were annoyed when I said I had a toddler and wasn't chasing anybody. :S

Thinking again about the best answer ever given to any question on any website

Reddit screenshot, from the Street Fighter 3 board.

Thread: How to attack?

Thread is by Guitarvin, who asks, "What's the point of attacking if they can just parry?"

Top comment is by OSnotfound, who answers "What's the point of living if we're all just going to die?"

Okay, legit question: Who thought that right-clicking on the recycle bin on windows 11 should bring up a menu with by far the biggest and closest option being "Rename"? Is that something people do more often than emptying? Are the people clamouring for changing bin nicknames?

The menu that pops up when you right-click the recycle bin on Windows 11. One large button reading "Rename" is at the top, with small listed options for normal tasks including Empty Recycle Bin.

I've been playing a lot of shmups lately, and have been pleasantly surprised that pretty much every console port of an arcade release has autofire added, and some even let you customize the fire rate. It rules! Trying to mash the fire button for a half hour really sucks!

I assumed it was just a reused thumbnail from Xbox Live Arcade or something but that makes sense

010

Hobojim @hobojim.bsky.social · 07/05/2026

In other shmup posting, Very funny to me that Jamestown's thumbnail in steam is the wrong aspect ratio, incredible commitment to the bit This post will be funny to like four people

Thumbnails for Ikaruga and Jamestown from my steam library. Ikaruga has a normal thumbnail that shows a full art shot of the playable ship, whereas Jamestown shows a widescreen-formatted thumbnail in a book-cover sized space. This is funny because Jamestown receives criticism for having a widescreen aspect ratio in a traditionally extremely vertically-oriented, horizontally-constrained game genre.
