In recent days, we’ve received a lot of questions from people who want to see an audit of the 2024 U.S. Presidential election. This is a reminder that 2024 U.S. Presidential election ballots and records are not federally required to be retained after September 5, 2026 and may be destroyed after that date.

At the Election Truth Alliance (ETA), we’ve filed an amended complaint in Pennsylvania seeking preservation of ballots and other records from the 2024 U.S. Presidential election for key counties in that state.

If you want to preserve the ballots to verify the vote in your state, here’s how you can get involved:

1) Check existing state laws regarding ballot/record retention in your state;
2) Talk to a lawyer about filing for a court injunction to preserve the ballots and/or;
3) Call the office of your state Attorney General or Secretary of State to ask what procedural steps they can take to retain ballots longer than federally required.

But the media landscape is dominated by right wing owners. It is exceedingly difficult for Democrats to get their message out. Most people don’t even follow them on social media so it will show up in the algorithms (controlled by right wing owners). Citizens have a responsibility to be informed.
