Very sad to hear of Dolly Parton's passing. She was a truly remarkable human in ways big & small that we'll probably continue to learn about. My family went to Dollywood a bunch while I was growing up. During my last trip in 2012, my dad, brothers, and I recreated a favorite photo from the 80s.

Was just waiting for the 1 train at 96 & two women got into a fight and one snatched off the other’s wig and threw it on the tracks. People flagged the approaching train to stop and she climbed onto the tracks to get it. Of course there were no cops standing around when you actually needed them.

We got our programs when leaving the show. This was a dramatization of a 1993 C-SPAN appearance by Anthony Fauci and Larry Kramer. I was pretty moved emotionally and it was sad to think about the parallels 30 years later with the COVID-19 pandemic.
