The Guardian newspaper launched its series called Enslaving Nation. It's important. Those of us (especially of African descent in Europe) who have been working on that history for decades got discouraged along the way.

These are the 30 women killed since 2020 in Northern Ireland, all by white men 21 killed in their homes by men they knew. The youngest 20, the oldest 82 21 were mothers, 4 were killed with their children in the home. Two were pregnant Nobody rioted over their murders www.bbc.com/news/article...

Researchers working on Portugal in 16th century, I have a question for you. How many enslaved people were there in Portugal in the 16th century AND did they indeed make up for 10% of the population? The figures & sources I have don't match.
