I had to look up Paul Kirchner's comics. Of course THE BUS is on Internet Archive

8 panel black and white comic. There's a big bug in the foreground. A bus gets closer and closer and finally squishes the bug under a tire. Then the bus gets squished by a giant bug.

Protip - if your boss suggests you use AI to do something but you don't want to, do it yourself really poorly then tell them the AI did it!

Today instead of working on my report about why our research on a certain biomarker might be pointless, I spent hours prepping samples so they could be measured for that biomarker.

These people don't speak for me. I thought the gameplay in Control was repetitive, but engaging and consistently challenging. I like it for the same reason I like Tetris. Maybe that makes me a brain dead slob 🤷‍♂️

Always reassuring when I read a super fucking complicated methods section with NMR, 10 different kinds of HPLC, gene transfection, and organoids - then they do all their stats in GraphPad Prism. See? Prism is fine!

*googles Mizuguchi and AI art* that didn't help!

quote from a gamedeveloper.com article on Mizuguchi and collaborator Takashi Ishihara's company Enhance where Ishihara says "We're the craftsman, and we're humans. We are not AI. I want to believe that the soul of the human is what's moving and tuning these parameters down to the detail ... I want to believe that when humans apply that level of tuning, that it will never be overwritten by something that's AI-made"

I'll bet no one is making more money off of Hollywood's new creepypasta/internet meme obsession than the IP lawyers. Imagine the billable hours digging into which 2004 4chan post was the first appearance of Hotdog Head Man and who owns it and how legal it is to cut them out of the deal.

"Blood Brothers" by Papa Roach during the climactic fight is pretty good. And then "Last Resort" for the last scene. And then "Sinner" again over the credits. I can't believe I watched this whole dumb movie.
