I think in illustration and comics both we can do the Appeal to Legacy thing a lot… which would take me like… an essay-blog to unpack. But in addition to renowned artists who've earned their flowers and stuff, all it takes is one parasocial AI bro to make a LoRA off your artstyle (boo! boo!!).

I think the legacy argument "of course not, it's LOISH!" is warranted but also misses the point that people are doing targeting scraping to mimic specific artist's styles across the board. It happened more in years prior than it does right now, but still. The witch-hunt friendly-fire is rampant.
