for the love of god I wish writers could capitalize half as readily on their skills as artists can and it sucks that we can’t advertise to our largest pool of audience but it is what it is and I’d rather be mildly annoyed than not have the option at all.

genuinely. legally. call it a gift or trade or giveaway or a random act of whatever the hell you want. AO3 cannot legally allow fic on their site if they know it was paid for. if they see it the fic will be removed or reported or both. erase the word from your vocabulary 🙏
