I've had that line "programmed by fellows with compassion and vision" echoing in my mind about AI, so when Keith Olbermann referenced it, it felt like a spark in the neural network of our shared cultures and wisdom that, more than a living human or generation, will carry us past the AI dangers.

Gladys Kravitz sees stuff but is powerless. The Great Gazoo is invisible to most people and has amazing powers. Describe how each represents a part of the American psyche, especially that of the late 60's and early 70's, and how it echoes in present day cultural dynamics. (From my PhD thesis.)

Imagine being one of those kids waiting for a parent who never showed up because ICE arrested them. This is beyond cruel. #SheShed #AbolishICE
Screenshot from a “Here’s Why” video showing a man being escorted by a law enforcement officer on a sidewalk while other officers and bystanders stand nearby. Large text reads: “ICE agents in Danbury, CT arrested parents waiting for their kids after school.” The image is labeled “Immigration.”

How do we deal with the reality that they're playing by different rules? Democrats like the rule of law, we like science, and act accordingly. Yet somehow that puts us at a disadvantage. Especially in an environment where money = speech, and some people got all the speech. Pre-Hammurabi ethics.

I think Nob and Nobility is exceptionally good - as a title. I haven't been able to find a copy so far though. Have you heard of an apocryphal work of hers called Out of Print and Out of Princes? Thematically coherent with her other works but definitely not as strong an effort.
