Happy to share my second PhD paper, now published in Biological Conservation! 🐟 We explored genetic structure and diversity across native and introduced Arctic charr populations in Alpine lakes, using SNPs and microsatellites 🧬 authors.elsevier.com/sd/article/S...
Genetic structure and diversity across native and introduced Arctic charr populations in Alpine lakes. The study compares genetic indicators from SNPs and microsatellites, shows that admixture reduces genetic differentiation, and summarizes conservation implications for native and introduced populations.

🏔️🐟🧬 Excited to share my first PhD publication! We investigated how phenotypic plasticity, rapid selection, and genetic drift contribute to rapid phenotypic divergence in Arctic charr populations isolated for just over a century. Thanks to all my co-authors, collaborators, and reviewers! 😊

Are you the less lucky of the co-first or co-last authors? @shougroup.bsky.social makes the case for changes to the way that equal contribution information is sent to indexing sites such as #PubMed. 🧪 #AcademicSky #publishing

We need to correct the wide-spread omission of equal contribution in article indexing
Equal contribution designations (co-first and co-last authorship) is on the rise, yet this information is routinely lost, creating inequity in recognition and crediting. This Perspective calls for…

Arctic charr you aware of the role of reproductive barriers in asymmetric reproductive isolation (RI)? Probably not, as a lot remains to be understood about the processes of RI during species divergence! Here, using (you guessed it) Arctic charr, questions begin to be answered...🧪🌍👇 buff.ly/ze75MrH
A school of arctic charr, one of the most CHARRming fish, swims underwater in Greenland. Their pink bellies glisten in the sun as they swim away from the camera. You could be overwhelmed by the sheer number of them, but then remember this is a picture, and they're simply being captured swimming underwater.

🚨 New paper! Why does the invasive Hemimysis anomala form winter swarms? 🦐❄️ Adult-juvenile succession supports a reproductive role, while water temperature indirectly drives swarm collapse, partly via fish predation observed by video in Lake Geneva. doi.org/10.1051/limn...
