My most played for the past week… and my most “productive” one since I started using last.fm again (just over 1,000 plays!)

I got some serious childhood nostalgia in the mail today

Herschel 🐶 & Horo 🐻 @herschel.dog · 05/10/2026

I've tried to do this several times but the choice paralysis always ends up becoming too much and I never really get anywhere with it, haha. So, instead, I've just tried to do it as quickly as I can and put in what first springs to mind! I think it's a pretty accurate grid to describe my taste

Herschel 🐶 & Horo 🐻 @herschel.dog · 05/10/2026

I’ve debated changing my handle on here for months and decided that today (whilst I’m not really doing anything) is a great day to finally get around to doing it So yeah, @herschel.dog is now a thing! (sorry burr)

Me immediately checking the hockey score for last night after waking up

Herschel 🐶 & Horo 🐻 @herschel.dog · 02/10/2026

My most played for the last week. I listened to a LOT of REM, Depeche Mode and the new M83 album, haha

Herschel 🐶 & Horo 🐻 @herschel.dog · 30/09/2026

I’ve never heard of this game before (but remember THE DOG as a franchise/thing being pretty popular in the early 00s) so it’s nice to hear it’s an emotional and entertaining game. I will give the sausage a bit of extra fuss tonight!

Herschel 🐶 & Horo 🐻 @herschel.dog · 25/09/2026

My most played for the past week. I still managed to listen to enough to populate a 5x5 grid, despite having less time to listen to stuff, which is a cool surprise! (less good is the fact the grid generator I normally use wouldn’t download some of the album covers, but eh, whatever!)

Herschel 🐶 & Horo 🐻 @herschel.dog · 23/09/2026

I’m not usually one for doing stuff like this, but… I’m curious what thoughts people may have of the new boofer!

My most played for this past week. I listened to a LOT of Pinegrove, haha

000

Herschel 🐶 & Horo 🐻 @herschel.dog · 11/09/2026

My most played for the past week. I listened to quite a bit, way more than what would fit on a 5x5 grid!

Herschel 🐶 & Horo 🐻 @herschel.dog · 10/09/2026

I don’t think someone is feeling it today (same)

My most played for the past week… it’s felt quite nostalgic using lastfm again, I’ve enjoyed it a lot!

I think I’ve been going on about the ice hockey season starting again soon to @haydo.bsky.social a little too much as they got me this little commission from @rachez.bsky.social! I think Herschel is so excited he looks like he thinks he plays for the Blackhawks, haha. Thank you so much!

1131

Herschel 🐶 & Horo 🐻 @herschel.dog · 29/08/2026

Parcel day is always exciting! We got @haydo.bsky.social a cheap Oilers jersey for two reasons: the main one being to annoy a friend of ours who is a huge Flames fan (and oh boy will it annoy him) but I’m also hoping to get fursuit photos of me and Haydo wearing hockey stuff at some point 👀

Herschel 🐶 & Horo 🐻 @herschel.dog · 28/08/2026

The results of my first few days of scrobbling in about three years? I’ve been pleasantly surprised as all the issues I used to have with plays either not working or (more often than not) duplicating themselves just… haven’t happened!

Herschel 🐶 & Horo 🐻 @herschel.dog · 25/08/2026

Last photo of the sky from my photoroll, no cheats A nice one from when we were on holiday a couple of months ago (walking back from the pub I think?)

120

Herschel 🐶 & Horo 🐻 @herschel.dog · 24/08/2026

I think getting a hockey jersey with my fursona name on the back is probably going to end up being one of the more “furry trash” things I’ve done in life, heh

A home Chicago Blackhawks ice hockey jersey hung up in a doorway with “HERSCHEL 16” on the back of it

140

Herschel 🐶 & Horo 🐻 @herschel.dog · 24/08/2026

I have to admit, watching this grid slowly populate with albums is still extremely satisfying to me... really hoping I don't end up getting frustrated with scrobbles not uploading correctly, although everything seems okay so far! (my profile is at last.fm/user/reclusivebear for anyone interested!)

I had a great time earlier today

I finally got my childhood Sega Saturn to look pretty nice (and not like total shit) over SCART on a 4K TV. I also got it playing games from an SD card! Now I can bask in the nice warm glow of nostalgia

Herschel 🐶 & Horo 🐻 @herschel.dog · 06/08/2026

Herschel is in the record shop and looks very happy to have found a copy of the masterpiece that is “Remain In Light” by Talking Heads! I wonder what else he’ll end up picking up? Thank you so much @kast.haus for a fantastic commission! (one that will be referenced elsewhere at some point 👀)

So, thanks for the past 20+ years and here's hoping for another 20 (urgh!) (3/3)

Herschel 🐶 & Horo 🐻 @herschel.dog · 03/08/2026

I've revisited Silent Alarm by Bloc Party a lot this past year and keep finding myself coming back to it again and again. It's been a difficult time but I've consistently found it to be an enjoyable and comforting listen, no matter what mental state I've found myself in (1/3)

The Tails pins I ordered from @vidi.wtf came today and they sent a little card with a drawing of the boy on it. Thank you so much! (why two? I need a back up for when I inevitably lose/break the first one, haha)

Herschel 🐶 & Horo 🐻 @herschel.dog · 31/07/2026

Quickly picked four albums before I needed to leave for work as I could spend ages on a “task” like this, haha! I’m also ignoring the fact that Monster has parts that have a little bit of a grunge feel, given the initial prompt, as it’s my joint favourite R.E.M. album, after all!

Herschel 🐶 & Horo 🐻 @herschel.dog · 30/07/2026

I saw these cool catalogue guys a while ago and seeing the one Flint got pushed me over the edge. I mean... look how sophisticated* Herschel looks! Thanks again @kast.haus I love your style so much! (*may actually just be a big, dumb boofer)

We went to a Dachshund owners meet up today (the Shrewsbury Sausage Social!) which was very fun. It was very uplifting to see a lot of sausages in one place… well over a hundred! We then went to my favourite bar in Shrewsbury (Tap & Can) but I’ve had multiple 8%+ beers and now I am very sleepy

140

Herschel 🐶 & Horo 🐻 @herschel.dog · 06/07/2026

I may feel like I really want to lose a little weight after seeing recent photos of me but at least we stumbled upon “Le Coq Massif” this past week (we also found a museum with the same name as my bernese side!)

The wiener sticker has (finally) been used and blessed the car… just a shame I got an air bubble under it

I am a simple bear. A simple sports loving bear who decided Chicago is my city of choice (for better or worse) Thank you @haydo.bsky.social for helping me try things on to see if they’d potentially work (but not to Pippin for looking unimpressed during the process) 🧵: @madebymercury.bsky.social

I got my first piece of art for the berner and it’s an amazing pride icon by @beffums.bsky.social! (and also somehow my first pride icon in all my years of being in the fandom too, which is weird!) Thanks again, he looks awesome!

I ordered a couple of Tails stickers whilst we were at Confuzzled. They were delivered today and came with this super cute doodle of Tails on the invoice!

It’d be rude to be in Birmingham and not make a trip to the furry cocktail bar. I always really, really enjoy this place

Herschel 🐶 & Horo 🐻 @herschel.dog · 10/05/2026

Today I saw a few cool cars and a cool mural and had a pretty cool day overall

It feels like me and Pippin have linked brains today

150

Herschel 🐶 & Horo 🐻 @herschel.dog · 04/04/2026

We went to Birmingham for a few hours (sadly on a tight timeframe) but still made time to see a beautiful @annatomix.bsky.social mural!

Haydo got me some excellent bear presents for my birthday! I mean… LOOK AT THEM

5100

Herschel 🐶 & Horo 🐻 @herschel.dog · 21/03/2026

Haydo is out for a little bit so I’m listening to “Fugazi - Repeater” with Pippin whilst Pippin wonders if Haydo is ever coming back (spoiler: they are) I don’t make much time to listen to records these days. I should do it more often

000

Herschel 🐶 & Horo 🐻 @herschel.dog · 16/02/2026

I’ve recently been rewatching Hell on Earth with Haydo (after successfully getting them into it after years of trying) and I’m not gonna lie… I forgot about this ever happening, haha
